About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution in Charlotte, NC, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the financial institution location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with access control and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders when needed.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
