Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Checkpoint

You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials as directed, assisting with visitor management and the orderly flow of people entering government locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
