About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Ashburn, VA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide welcoming customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain visitor records, and report access irregularities according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations accurately while communicating professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Possess at least six months of security-related experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience are preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
