Security Officer Full Time Patrol Inspection

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Inspection in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will contribute to a culture that positively impacts the communities and customers we serve.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Preferred ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Preferred comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Knowledge of security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally to incidents and concerns.
• Ability to conduct patrols and monitor access points.
