Security Officer - Full Time Dispatch Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, incidents, and routine requests to appropriate personnel using established communication systems.
• Monitor communication channels, access control activity, alarm systems, and video surveillance as assigned; document relevant information in dispatch logs and incident reports.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating notifications with appropriate hospital departments and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter when required; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 + years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, depending on state or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
