Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service Patrol in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Officer at a government service center, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate clearly, document security-related activity, and support a caring, reliable team at Allied Universal that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government service location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity, providing directions and assistance while reporting unusual conditions or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Document daily activities, incidents, patrols, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$16.75 / Hour

• Tuesday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wednesday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Thursday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
