Security Officer Full Time Badge System Support

About the role

As a Security Officer supporting a commercial real estate location in Richardson, TX, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, manage access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and contractor entry in accordance with site requirements; maintain accurate logs and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Assist with security-related access control, badge verification, and compliance with property rules to help deter unauthorized entry and support an orderly environment.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
