Security Officer Full Time Armed Security

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication at a government health and family services location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, direct visitors to appropriate service areas, and maintain awareness of activity within assigned areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, building interiors, parking areas, and the perimeter, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports related to incidents, patrols, access activity, and other security-related concerns.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
