Full Time Armed Security Officer

Primary locations: Brighton, Westminster, Thornton, & Broomfield, CO

About the role

Securitas Armed Security Officers maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises, patrolling locations, and preserving order. Officers enforce regulations, provide customer service, and serve as a physical deterrent. Full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor and patrol client premises
• Enforce client site regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the area
• Provide customer service and information to client employees and customers
• Respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment, using appropriate escalation
• Conduct patrols throughout shift
• Perform access control duties
• Maintain professional demeanor and remain calm during stressful situations
• Meet and continue to meet all applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers

Requirements

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Above average computer/technology skills
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills
• Ability to work independently
• Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout shift
• Professional demeanor and strong grasp of appropriate verbal/written communication
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Reliable personal vehicle and phone number where you can be reached at all times
• Reliable, accountable, punctual, and strong work ethic
• Legal right to work in the United States
• Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• Ability to meet physical requirements: seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly; occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; frequent sitting, standing, and walking for long periods; climbing stairs and walking on inclines/uneven terrain; frequent lifting/moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting/moving up to 25 pounds

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement preferred
• Must be able to speak to gun safety and responsibilities
• Must successfully complete assessments and shooting qualification
• Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus

Pay

$25.80 per hour
