About the role
Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients
- Patrol various locations to monitor and enforce regulations
- Provide customer service and information to clients’ employees and customers
- Serve as a physical deterrent
- Respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment
Requirements
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Above average computer / technology skills
- Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Great attention to detail and vigilance throughout shift
- Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation
- Participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
- 2 years of armed experience
- Pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification
- Have a reliable personal vehicle
- Legal right to work in the United States
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Provide a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular)
- Reliable, accountable, punctual, and strong work ethic
- Strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills (a plus)
- Conduct patrols throughout shift
- Comfortable conducting access control duties
Qualifications
