Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter theft, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and other security-related concerns.
• Maintain required licensing, training, and equipment standards for an armed post, and prepare accurate incident reports and related documentation.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
