Security Officer Full Time Access Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or travelers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and public authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Support daily operations by providing directions, assisting with crowd and traffic flow, and completing assigned reports, logs, and other security-related documentation.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
