About the role

As a Security Officer Front Desk Access Control in Uniondale, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence for tenants, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities include managing access, monitoring security-related activity, responding to inquiries, and communicating concerns to appropriate personnel. Bring strong customer service skills and a comfort with computer or tablet use while supporting a positive environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s caring culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk, greet and direct visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and delivery records.
  • Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; contact appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
  • Support a professional lobby environment by answering phones, providing directions, receiving packages, and communicating relevant information to building management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
