Security Officer Foot Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting conditions that could impact operations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials where required, and communicate with site personnel regarding deliveries, visitors, and/or operational concerns.
• Support access control, incident reporting, and other security-related duties as directed, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
