As a Security Officer Foot Patrol in Auburn, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $14.11 / Hour
Job Schedule: Day Time, Mon 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Sat 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Sun 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity at assigned locations, reporting unauthorized access, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
