Security Officer Foot Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a government correctional facility. You will provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, facility-specific policies, and emergency response activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report access concerns involving staff, visitors, contractors, and/or other individuals.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting designated personnel and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Document patrol activity, unusual conditions, policy violations, and security-related incidents through clear and accurate reports.

Requirements

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• CPR certification.
• Computer or tablet usage.
