About the role

As a Security Officer Electronic Access Monitoring in Prosperity, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in manufacturing and industrial environments. You will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor alarm panels, and support a secure, welcoming environment. Using computer or tablet systems, you will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help address security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and required documentation related to access activity, incidents, inspections, and shift operations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience using alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
