Security Officer Electronic Access Administrator

About the role

As a Security Officer Electronic Access Administrator in Ellenwood, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer, you will help create a welcoming, professional environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and monitoring access activity. You will use computer or tablet systems to support accurate records, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and control entry and exit in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders regarding access-control concerns and security-related activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations as directed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
