About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor and manage access control systems, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, maintain access records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Complete accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
