About the role

As a Security Officer Electronic Access Systems in Lenexa, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication, and using computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle access records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, delivery-area concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and transportation partners while reporting security-related observations, incidents, and policy violations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Requirements

• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
