About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic automotive location in West Columbia, SC. You will help manage access points, verify credentials, monitor entry activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and site leadership. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while contributing to a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors at an automotive facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control access to restricted areas.
- Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, vehicle storage locations, gates, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Document incidents, access-control activities, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.
Requirements
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Thursday: 12:00 AM - 8:00 AM
- Friday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Saturday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Sunday: 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM
