About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a residential community, you will help manage entry points, greet residents and visitors, verify credentials, and monitor access activity. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Position Type: Part Time

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with community procedures.
  • Respond to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of residential community entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, access-control activity, and observed conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.

Pay

$18.72 / Hour

Schedule

  • Tuesday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
  • Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
