Security Officer Driver Patrol

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking a part‑time Security Officer Driver Patrol in Roanoke, VA. The position involves safeguarding clients in various industries, primarily retail/malls, providing customer service, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. The role requires a valid driver’s license and may involve using the Claim a Shift platform to select shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by following site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entry/exit points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for potential security‑related concerns, policy violations, suspicious behavior, and hazards; report observations to site contacts or Allied Universal leadership.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and other relevant observations accurately and promptly according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state/local regulations.

Pay

$19.00 per hour.

• Wednesday: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Friday: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
• Saturday: 12:00 AM – 08:00 AM
