Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Customer Service Patrol in Spanaway, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as technology, media, telecommunications, and more. This unarmed patrol position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state and focuses on routine patrols, visible presence, access control support, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, alarm panels, and surveillance systems in accordance with site procedures; report security‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and service requests accurately in required logs and reports, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local regulations; may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.85 per hour

Schedule

Daytime shift: Monday – Friday, 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
