Security Officer Customer Service Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol Driver in Castle Hayne, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through professional customer service and clear communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain communication with supervisors and campus representatives regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activity.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
