About the role
As an unarmed Security Officer Customer Assistance Patrol in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, assist visitors and tenants, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
