Security Officer Customer Assistance Patrol

Allied Universal is hiring an Unarmed Patrol Officer to support a dynamic logistics and distribution location in Bloomfield, CT. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate
• Monitor access points, check in authorized personnel and vehicles, and maintain accurate visitor, driver, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the distribution facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed
• Observe and report security-related concerns, damaged property, unauthorized activity, and policy violations through required reports and communication channels

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred
• A guard card or license is preferred
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
• Access control or badge experience is preferred
• Alarm panel experience is preferred
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Schedule

Full Time. Daytime shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM.

$17.50 / Hour
