About the role

As a Security Officer Customer Assistance Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Officer supporting financial institution and government locations, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service, clear communication, and a people-first approach while working as part of an agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and/or supervisors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office buildings, public-facing areas, parking areas, transit-related access points, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, and/or other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access, unusual activity, and policy violations while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support access control, visitor screening, and/or credential verification processes in financial and public service locations while following post orders and client-directed protocols.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
