Security Officer Campus Part Time Patrol Reporting

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Officer for an educational location in New York, NY. This part-time role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures, directing visitors and reporting unauthorized access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Saturday: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
