Security Officer Part Time Patrol Reporting

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining visibility to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading docks, shipping and receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and delivery records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and problem-solving; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed by established procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations in clear, timely reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.00 per hour.

• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
