Security Officer Part Time Campus Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Support in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Education. This part-time, unarmed role requires a valid driver’s license and involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s culture of agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, checking credentials when required, and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and campus contacts.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• Valid driver’s license (required for this driving position).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Must pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

• Part Time
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
