Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity through accurate written reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $20.35 - $21.35 / Hour
• Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM, Sat 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
