This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Response in Hyde Park, MA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.
How This Role Works
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, entry points, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, while maintaining a professional presence and assisting with visitor directions.
- Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and responding personnel.
Requirements
- A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
