About the role
As an Armed Security Officer in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrol activities, incidents, inspections, and security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
