About the role
Play a vital role in protecting AutoZoners, property, and peace of mind.
Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas, including parking lots and building perimeters.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies—medical, criminal, or otherwise.
- Maintain weapon responsibly and use it only when absolutely necessary.
- Train regularly to stay sharp on self-defense and weapons handling.
- Engage with visitors and staff as a professional ambassador of safety.
- Monitor electronic security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control).
- Report incidents clearly and accurately for law enforcement and internal use.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (specialized training a plus).
- 1–2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military.
- TN State Armed Guard License (or ability to obtain one).
- Strong understanding of criminal justice and corporate security.
- Excellent observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic security systems.
- Physical stamina to walk/stand for long periods and stay alert on shift.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Flexible availability for morning, evening, and overnight shifts.
Qualifications
- A proactive mindset and calm under pressure.
- A commitment to continuous improvement in safety and training.
Skills
- Customer service experience is a plus.
