About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service and communication. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, controlling entry and exit in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions with the public.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.66 / hour

Schedule

  • Tuesday: 07:45 AM - 05:45 PM
  • Friday: 07:45 AM - 05:45 PM
  • Saturday: 07:30 AM - 04:45 PM
