About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional service and communication. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, controlling entry and exit in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions with the public.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$22.66 / hour
Schedule
- Tuesday: 07:45 AM - 05:45 PM
- Friday: 07:45 AM - 05:45 PM
- Saturday: 07:30 AM - 04:45 PM
