Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations
Job Description
Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through established channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related issues.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations as required by site procedures, and support access control protocols for restricted or sensitive areas.
Support site operations by communicating with supervisors, employees, and/or first responders during routine activities and incidents, while following Allied Universal standards and post instructions.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years of security experience.
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
