Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to concerns with professionalism, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare facility.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, with working conditions varying throughout the location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious activity or policy violations, and assist with access-control procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and responses in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Possess supervisory experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
