Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations

About the role

As an Armed Security Officer in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations requiring attention. This role provides exceptional customer service, communicates clearly with visitors and staff, and supports a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at government facilities by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and report access-control concerns or suspicious activity to site leadership.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
