Security Officer - Armed Patrol Full Time
About the role
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Full Time in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with visitor management in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Possess a Corrections Officer License.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Preferred Guard Card or License.
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Professionalism and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to operate a vehicle for driving positions.
