About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Crisis Intervention in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a financial institution setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to facility needs. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the business, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Maintain required reports, incident documentation, and patrol activity records while following applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Have at least 4 years of military or law enforcement experience or possess a criminal justice degree.
- Provide a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
