Security Officer Armed Patrol Intervention

About the role

As an Armed Patrol Intervention Security Officer in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and assist with controlling entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, ATM locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and required logs while maintaining professional communication with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• At least 21 years of age.
• At least 3 years of experience in security-related work, law enforcement, military police, or military service.
• Armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
