About the role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As an Armed Patrol Intervention Security Officer in Midland, TX, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Scale your hours up to 40 per week or back as needed.
Schedule
- Tuesday: 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Pay
$25.00 / hour
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and local law enforcement when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking lots, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and incidents according to site procedures.
- Maintain required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
