About the role
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Crisis Response in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to developing situations. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and reliable support while working as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal’s agile, caring, innovative, and integrity-driven values.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public service agencies as needed.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, verifying authorization in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
