About the role
As an Armed Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. This armed role calls for strong communication, professionalism, and customer service while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, production areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help control access to restricted operational areas.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic industrial environment.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$17.95 / Hour
Schedule
- Day shift: Saturday, 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Day shift: Sunday, 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
