About the role
As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related situations with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures for authorized personnel and visitors.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports on patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$25.00 / Hour

- Friday: 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
- Saturday: 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
- Sunday: 08:00 PM - 08:00 AM
