Security Officer Armed Mobile Response Driver

About the Role

As an Armed Mobile Response Driver Security Officer in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns at a government corrections location. This role requires a valid driver’s license and delivers professional customer service while supporting a team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access and movement through designated entry points, verify authorization, and report access concerns or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site protocols and applicable laws.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and actions taken.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions).
• Armed guard card or license (preferred).
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to drug screening as permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$21.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Daytime shifts: Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday, 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM.
