Security Officer - Armed Driver Patrol Field Assessment
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Screen individuals and belongings in accordance with established access-control procedures and report prohibited items or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable protocols.
- Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Skills
- Security-related experience.
- Driver’s license.
- Armed guard card or license.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Customer service experience.
- Age 21 or older for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
