Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Assessment

About the role

As an Armed Driver Patrol Assessment Security Officer in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. This driving post combines customer service, communication, and rapid response to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, helping to protect personnel, visitors, facilities, and assets.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required firearm- and equipment-related inspections in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
