About the role

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Field Assessment in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Perform armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least four years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
